I arrived yesterday but it feels like I've been here for ages. The situation at Landvetter airport was terrible; It felt like everyone has given up the idea of a white christmas in Western Sweden. I met my friend Anna in Copenhagen and together we flew to Zürich. She spent the night at my place in Brugg.
Thus; I am now living in Kanton Argau, 20 minutes from central Zürich and 30 from Basel. My apartment is, according to Continental European standard, very nice. Can't wait to furnish it! Watched "Love actually" tonight, which is the perfect movie to watch this time of the year, since the movie is taken place around christmas.
"Wherever I get gloomy with the state of the world I think about the arrival's gate at Heathrow airport. General opinion makes out that we live in a world of hatred and greed but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it is not particularly dignified or newsworthy but it is always there. Fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girldfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the twin towers, as far as I know no one of the phone calls from people on board were messages of hate or revenge, they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a feeling you'll find that love is actually all around."
