If I'd choose a profession again
If I'd choose a new career I would go for air hostess. Or a bambatant (i.e. dining hall lady). Of course. Here guiding all my working collleagues down to Berlin.Labels: European trips, School of Education and Communication

On my door
On my door right now a song that every Swede knows:
Och över stad och land ikväll,
går julens glada bud
att född är Herren Jesus Krist
vår frälsare och Gud.
Yeah! Jesus Christ, our Saviour and God is born!
At my work place, all the mission covenant peep (missionsförbundarna) are bunched in the same corridor. The Vineyarder, i.e. moi, they've put together with all the nature scientists nerds (read: atheists).
Oh dear. Those Christians; now they've taken over the Christmas holiday too.

Reclaim the round table
There is a legendary round table in the coffee room and we, who still not have the right age/haircut/status are planning a round-table occupation. I think I should enter the coffee room for coffee break at 9.15 and just impound it. Yeah! Reclaim the round table!
Until then, Elin (to the right) is eating her bananas.

Swedes and their failures
Today School of Education and Communication has celebrated Gustav Adolf day by having Gustav Adolf cakes during morning fika (i.e. coffee time). He was a Swedish king who killed a lot of people and died in the Battle of Lützen on November 6th in 1632. Swedes love to celebrate their failures: We have a museum in Gränna about 3 stupid gentlemen who try to fly with a balloon to the north pole, dressed in suits, drinking sherry and cognac. In Stockholm we have a museum about a ship (built by the same king we celebrate today, übrigens) that sank after sailing less than 2 km into her maiden voyage.Labels: School of Education and Communication, Swedish culture
